We also care about the future of the industry and welcome university students for internships and practical training. If you’ve been wondering whether gaining real experience in communications from scratch is possible, the answer is yes.

During an internship lasting at least four weeks, you’ll experience the daily rhythm of agency life, hone your copywriting and client service skills, work with bloggers and Ukrainian media, and get a feel for the basics of client relations. You’ll discover whether building effective communications is your true calling.

If we find the perfect match, you’ll have the chance to become part of our team and kick-start your career in communications.

I studied public relations at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. My classmate, who was already working at Newsfront, told me that her team was looking for an intern, and that’s how I got to the agency.

From the very first days, I had incredible support from the team. Tasks of varying complexity were gradually added and explained in great detail. I enjoyed moving to a new level with each task and diving deeper into understanding the industry and the market.

During this time, I have discovered many new things about myself, from my professional hard skills—the intricacies of writing PR materials, forming a media base, and analysing KPIs—to my soft skills. I realised even more that I like working in a team and the whole collective creative process when small ideas at a brainstorming session later turn into the resulting indicators for analysis.

I got acquainted with the agency by chance, thanks to the recommendations of friends who saw it as a potential match for my interests.

My easy adaptation and immersion in the agency’s work processes went smoothly, thanks to the support of a friendly and close-knit team. From the first day, my colleagues were eager to help me, patiently answering any questions and creating a favorable environment for development. The atmosphere was always friendly and warm.

The internship at this agency was like a quick, intensive course in modern communication methodologies. Each project allowed me to learn and deepen my understanding of industry specifics and best practices. In addition, I gained significant experience in collaborating and communicating effectively with clients, understanding that success depends on teamwork and understanding your clients.

Our cooperation with Newsfront started two months before my official internship when I was doing on-the-job training from University. It was an exciting but short time, so I didn’t manage to delve deeply into the agency’s work, but I understood the general mechanics. This helped when I returned to Newsfront for an internship.

The people in the team were a great support, helping me and sharing as much information as possible. Although a communicator’s work does not exclude mundane (sometimes purely mechanical) tasks, I am currently particularly interested in working with texts and monitoring, and there is always a particular enthusiasm when tracking the number of releases. Research also remains one of my favourite tasks. The process can be long, but I often come across interesting cases that are of personal interest even outside the context of PR. I have discovered many new things during my work, from understanding how the press office and test park are organized to organizing skills. I am happy to have joined the Newsfront team.

The atmosphere in the team was essential to me. Frankly, the atmosphere at Newsfront fully met my expectations. My colleagues were incredibly supportive, always helpful and understanding, and gave me valuable advice. That’s why I could adapt quickly and feel more at ease.

During the 4 months of my internship, I quickly got acquainted with all the PR tasks that could arise during different stages of the project. I liked the working atmosphere in the team, the joint brainstorming sessions with the team and the creative tasks! In addition, it was an excellent opportunity to work with clients from different industries, as the agency has a broad portfolio of clients. What was most valuable was that I always received feedback from my colleagues during my work, so I understood what I needed to work on a little more and what to improve.
