A special online broadcast for Luxoft engineers to unite the team ahead of the winter holidays and provide an opportunity to join a charitable initiative together.
Challenge
Luxoft organized an online Christmas event for its specialists as part of its internal communications strategy. Our goal was to create a format that would:
– Welcome as many colleagues as possible from across Ukraine and around the world.
– Capture interest with a creative concept and engaging content.
– Actively involve participants.
– Inspire specialists to contribute to the Kolo Foundation. The aim was to raise 90,000 UAH to support the Nemyriv hospital’s need for individual titanium implants for military personnel.
Approach
To address the objectives, we proposed an online radio-style broadcast on YouTube, hosted by Yulia Karpova and featuring celebrity guests—comedian Anton Tymoshenko and historian Hlib Kapustin. The broadcast would explore the evolution of Christmas traditions in Ukraine through a lighthearted and humorous lens.
To raise funds, we organized an auction with three unique items provided by the Kolo Foundation: a “Trinity” candlestick, a custom plate, and a didukh crafted by artisans from the Ivan Honchar Ethnographic Museum in Kyiv.
On the day of the broadcast, to engage specialists working from the office, the client set up candy bars at their four offices in Kyiv, Dnipro, and Odesa. These festive buffet tables featured cupcakes and a variety of Christmas-themed sweets.
Results
Luxoft specialists had the chance to pre-order songs for the Luxoft Christmas Radio broadcast and send personalized greetings to their colleagues, which the host shared live. During the broadcast, listeners actively engaged with the host in the chat, creating a unique and festive Christmas celebration together.
The results speak for themselves:
– 463 unique views of the broadcast.
– nearly 4,000 reactions in the chat over the 3-hour event.
– 134,000 UAH raised for the Nemyriv hospital—well above the goal of 90,000 UAH.
– 360 cupcakes and Christmas treats enjoyed across 4 company offices.
